PSOPT is published under a rolling release model: the latest source code, including all recent capabilities, is always available from the GitHub repository:

To obtain the source code, either download a ZIP archive from the GitHub page, or clone the repository:

git clone https://github.com/PSOPT/psopt.git

Detailed build instructions for each supported platform are given in the repository’s README file and in the PSOPT User Manual.

Documentation

The documentation is also updated on a rolling release basis:

• PSOPT User Manual (PDF) — full details of the software’s functionality and how to use it, including background theory.

• PSOPT Application Examples Document (PDF) — worked application examples in various engineering and scientific domains, including their C++ code and results.

Docker

The distribution includes a Dockerfile, which provides an alternative way of installing and running PSOPT in a reproducible container environment on Linux, macOS, or Windows 11.

Tagged releases

Tagged releases of PSOPT are archived on Zenodo with citable DOIs. The concept DOI 10.5281/zenodo.15367118 always resolves to the latest release.
